Omad Diet Day 10 | Coconut Oil Benefits

Ok. It’s official. This channel is much more than just diet and fitness lol

Today I show you the benefits of coconut oil and how i’m using it to clear up my face. I’ve only been using it for 4 days but it feels like it’s doing a good job so I’ll see.

Coconut Oil Benefits:
Coconut oil has several benefits such as skin care, hair care, weight loss, treating yeast infections, improving digestion and immunity against a host of infections and diseases.

Also in this video my brother Andrew and I go out to watch the PPV MMA fight between Max Holloway and Jose Aldo. Jose Aldo ends up losing and I believe it’s time for his ass to retire.

Later on that night we hit downtown greensboro up and meet up with some friends! Obviously we have a fun ass night!

The OMAD diet aka One Meal A Day comes with many challenges. Already on just day 10 I’m making major diet changes to make sure I’m doing what is best for my health and body. I don’t want to lose weight, in fact I’m trying to gain weight while on the OMAD diet. I’m split testing various things and it all starts with the actual foods I’m eating.

At first I was eating the Rich Piana 5% Nutrition Meals daily (for the previous 3 weeks) but I found that I was actually eating too much protein and was experiencing crazy flatulent issues lol I mean literally I was eating so many times and throughout the day while on that heavy eating diet that I was farting so much I couldn’t even have people over to my house lol And yes I tried gas pills and the best probiotic pills for digestive health and nothing worked. Atleast not in the week I was giving it so that’s another big reason I went back to Intermittent fasting.

I wanted all the benefits of Intermittent Fasting:
REDUCED
blood lipids
blood pressure
markers of inflammation
oxidative stress
risk of cancer
INCREASED:
cellular turnover and repair (called autophagocytosis)
fat burning (increase in fatty acid oxidation later in the fast)
growth hormone release later in the fast (hormonally mediated)
metabolic rate later in the fast
IMPROVED
appetite control
blood sugar control (by lowering blood glucose and increasing insulin sensitivity)
cardiovascular function (by offering protection against ischemic injury to the heart)
effectiveness of chemotherapy (by allowing for higher doses more frequently)
neurogenesis and neuronal plasticity (by offering protection against neurotoxins)

So as you can tell there are many benefits of intermittent fasting. the OMAD diet is just a more extreme version of intermittent fasting that is all.

Most people that do Intermittent fasting eat (consume their first calorie) 4-6 hours after they wake up and continue to eat for the rest of the day.

With the OMAD diet the big difference is eating just ONE hour of the day scheduled at the same time everyday (well within a 4 hour grace period window) So basically your putting your body through a 23 hour fast daily the increase the benefits of intermittent fasting the most you can.

So you will be able to tell within this video the big difference in eating is I’m now damn near Vegan! I am going to be testing or experimenting with this as I will be eating large salads with spinach, kale, arugula, brussel sprouts, asparagus, hemp seeds, chia seeds, dressing, and whatever other random leafy green I can find!

The Smoothie I will be drinking will be made up of various organic fruits such as apples, bananas, pomegranates, cherries, strawberries, hemp seeds, chia seeds, muscle egg egg whites fruit cereal flavored, coconut milk, and I do believe that’s about it.

I am trying my best to keep everything organic as possible.
