The Part When You Need Your Back Pain to Go Away

Back pain is one of the most common health problems, so much so that it affects up to 8 out of 10 people at least once in a lifetime; in particular, the lumbar part is often affected, the lower one, but in fact the pain can appear at any point on the back.It is one of the most frequent consequences of professional disability and cause of absence from work.

Men and women are equally affected by Back pain, which can vary significantly in intensity, from dull and persistent pain to a sudden and acute sensation that leaves the person unable to move.

Pain may appear abruptly due to an accident or by lifting something heavy, or it may develop over time due to changes related to the age of the spine. Sedentary lifestyles can promote the appearance of back pain, especially when a marked sedentariness on workdays is interrupted by an excess of physical exercise over the weekend.

Most back pain is acute, meaning it lasts from a few days to a few weeks; tends to resolve spontaneously through a mild self-medication and there is no loss of function.

Finally, chronic back pain is defined as pain that persists for 12 weeks or more; approximately 1 in 5 people who experience acute back pain will develop chronic pain with persistent symptoms for up to a year.

Back pain manifests itself through the pain that can be:

  • acute or chronic;
  • can be located in the cervical area or in the lumbar area;
  • may occur at night, in the morning as soon as you wake up or after lifting;
  • It can be located in a specific point or it can radiate to other parts of the body (neck, legs, sternum, ribs, etc.)

In some subjects, back pain may be associated with other symptoms such as:

  • headache;
  • nausea;
  • Sore neck;
  • pain in the leg ;
  • difficulty falling asleep;
  • Anxiety.

Various methods exist to combat back pain. The doctor can prescribe a “traditional therapy” which includes:
