Flatt explained that when we consume, the fat we consume is divided into fatty acids. These essential fatty acids are very small and they’re in a position to travel in and out of cell wall space to make themselves available as energy for the body. But, when those fatty acids can’t be used and we get ready to eat our next food, the remaining essential fatty acids are stored away inside our fat cells.
This is where the problem begins. Those essential fatty acids that are being stored away match two other fatty acids and a glycerol molecule to generate what’s known as a triglyceride.
Triglycerides are very big, and because of their size aren’t in a position to exit the body fat cells like those free-flowing fatty acids can. As a total result, triglycerides become stubborn body fat that is so difficult to eliminate incredibly.
“But here’s the thing,” Flatt said. “Those triglycerides can be targeted, plus they can be damaged back down into those essential fatty acids that may be burnt by your body for energy. Actually, when we break down those triglycerides, it’s similar to dumping rocket fuel into the vehicle’s vehicle’s gas tank. Those divided triglycerides overflow your body with a great way to obtain energy it actually wants to burn off.”
Flatt designed The 3 Week Diet never to only breakdown existing triglycerides, but to prevent your body from forming new ones.
